I write in a lot of different genres, but when it comes to erotica BDSM stories have my heart. I love to play with the power dynamic in my character’s relationships and to use all sorts of toys and trappings that just wouldn’t work in a more vanilla situation.
And actually, come to think of it, when I write vanilla sex scenes you can often see at least a hint of power exchange in them too.
Because really, negotiating and exchanging power is something we do all the time in our day-to-day lives. It’s just not usually as interesting as it can be within a BDSM context 😉
Back in the day there used to be so many BDSM resource websites, (remember Ds Castle, for example?) but when I started putting this website together I couldn’t find any of them. It made me sad. So I started up a quick and dirty BDSM resource section here –> BDSM Resources. From there I will link to or create some of the information that I used to know where to find… once upon a time.
Right now there’s a scene checklist and a link to an essay entitled ‘Safe, sane and consensual’. I’ll be adding to it as time allows. If there is something you think needs to be there, why not drop me a line and I’ll see what I can do 🙂
