J is for Jack and Jill

Blogging from A to ZI’m really late putting this post up because I didn’t have internet for most of the day. Good times. *eyeroll* Even now, while I have a net connection my husband is working behind me to stabilise it and I’m hearing a lot of sighing and swearing. Wheee!

J is for jacking and jilling off. Jacking off is a term you’re probably familiar with, it’s slang for masturbating. Jilling off is the same thing but directed exclusively toward female masturbation. It’s fair enough, I guess, most people use the term jacking off to refer to men and, as the dudes I grew up around would say, What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Still, I don’t like it. The phrase I mean. I don’t know why. I don’t take any exception to the someone saying jacked off/jack off/jacking off but once you replace jack with jill it just sounds wrong to me. Possibly just because I’m not accustomed to it. I dunno.

Tomorrow, for the letter K I’ll tell you the phrase I use to refer to masturbation. Because.

Though Just Jilling is what I used for my J post, I’m not really a fan, either. I much prefer calling it what it is – masturbating. 🙂
